Learning how to bleed the v12 was fun.
I,m waiting on parts for hub to begin using.
I will follow-up once I receive calibers.
ron m.
I haven’t used it yet, but I trust that it works!
Mike E.
The hand pump doesn’t work very well, it sticks when trying to pump it so bad that you have to manually push and pull it out. I lubed it like the instructions say to no avail.
Joseph E.
It worked very nicely and as advertised, once I figured out which was the proper fitting for my bleeders. The other problem I was having was the bleeders were leaking through the threads, so I still had a mess on my hands. I can honestly say that this system still worked better than my other Vacuum system.
Michael P.
The directions are something else.....
Rileys R.
Worked great. just as advertised
Marco C.
Great product!! It works well
Donald W.
Working as expected!
Jeffrey K.
The tool was very hard to pump. It was so hard that I thought it was going to break, then it would release and start to pump and would work. Every time I would stop it would become hard to start pumping again. Not sure what is wrong but it is more of a pain to use than it’s worth. Not sure if I spent the money on the pro version it would have been better. I don’t do brakes enough to justify the cost of the pro. After the difficulty with this one not sure if I would even consider up grading to the pro and find out it is just the same hard pumping.

Perfect for bleeding my clutch,
Andrew G.
1990 Mustang GT. We did a complete system overhaul with wilwood 6 piston front, cobra rears & a SVO master cylinder, including every single line replaced. Our typical pressure bleeder / traditional methods would not provide a firm pedal. We went through gallons of brake fluid. We purchased the Phoenix Systems V-12 Reverse Brake & Clutch Kit, one attempt with the reverse bleeder solved the problem!
Mason H.
It was an absolute mess, I will never use it again. The instructions were unclear, I could find any reference online of what adapters to use. I finally threw it in the corner and traditionally bled the brakes….
LeRoy H.
Can’t wait to use it.
Timothy D.
Works as advertised.
Adam T.
When I first tried it the pump was stuck. I removed the front chamber and partially actuated the pump while reinstalling. It worked after that.
It will make a mess, be prepared and in my application it built pressure in the system, enough to pop the hose off the bleeder and spray brake fluid into places that don’t require brake fluid.
All in all it worked as described and got the job done, albeit messy.
Raymond R.
Too complicated to set up and use. Too complicated to clean by pumping alcohol through it. Too many parts, it's like an erector set. Bleeding the device before use is a pain. Makes a mess. It's impossible not to drip brake fluid on the floor while moving from wheel to wheel. My biggest regret is I waited a few months before I tried it out. Otherwise I'd be returning it.
Paul F.
Seems like it’s a good tool however the bleeders on Wilwood calipers are very small. None of the rubber adaptors provided with the tool fit, they all leak.
Christopher M.
I have a Phoenix reverse bleeder and it gets lots of use in my household. I have two Corvettes and this tool makes the whole job a no-brainer and simple compared to the old way of bleeding.
Air doesn't like to go down in a column of liquid so you have to pump and pump until all the air gets out wasting a lot of brake fluid.
I have used this Phoenix Bleeding pump on many cars, a pickup, a motorcycle and on a Cessna 172. It is useful anywhere there are brake line bleeding issues.
Thank you for such a great tool! I have had mine 20-25 years and it keeps on going (even though it has plastic parts)...
Quality tools are so hard to find now days but the Phoenix reverse Bleeder is one tool that will not collect much dust.
Joseph A.
I emailed bc i was having an issue and never got a response. Thats how it went.
Tim W.
Worked as promised. Wife doesnt have to pump the pedal anymore
Bryan H.
The directions suck. The handheld part you squese sticks constantly. As your trying to reverse bleed the brakes brake fluid is leaking all over tbe floor.
Christopher
The hand pump is cheap for what the product cost and constantly gets stuck. With that said had fast shipping and no other issues with the company.
jonathan m.
It doesn’t work on older cars differently a waste of money wouldn’t recommend
Kevin D.
Good GOD... emails never stopped... quit spamming me...
Gene D.
Absolute garbage! Cheaply made and does not seal therefore no vacuum
Robert
Fluid leaks everywhere out of the tool
We followed the instructions on moving all the old rings. Maybe we didn’t get something put together but wow, lots of brake fluid leak leaking out of the tool.
Robert D.
It oka just plastic though
Brett
I like that it is designed to really simplify brake bleeding. It is very versatile and great quality material.
Robert K.
Rating is due to not having used the tool yet. Will update after I get a chance to use it.
Gerald L.
While it functions as advertised, I'm not happy with having to constantly disassemble it when the plunger sticks and no matter how strong you are , you can't make it move. I followed the instructions as far as setup, lubricating and bleeding the air out of it, but it seems that I have to disassemble it more than I should have to. It works well for boat trailer surge brakes that don't have an easy way to actuate the the brakes(i do a lot of these at my shop). I do feel that it leaks more than it should as well.
Mark B.
Still having issues with air in the brake lines so I'm not sure that the brake bleeder works for me.
Shawna H.
Only tried it on the one vehicle I bought it for, which was a 1970 Volkswagen beetle and nothing I tried could get it to bleed.
william H.
I had to take the gun apart and lube it every time before I could operate the gun
Martin T.
I had some problems with it not being bled properly, but I've just watched a few videos on setup and use, and I'm willing to give it another try. Forget using the manual, watch a video or two and get nice, clear direction on how to set it up.
Kevin B.
Great tool to assist with brake work. Ends up working very nicely and minimal fluid to deal with. Best of all I can do it without trying to have my wife sit in the car and pumping the brakes for 30 minutes.
Thanks.
David S.
Have not been able to use it yet
Evan S.
Pretty great little tool, pretty simple set up but if there could be some instruction videos on YouTube it would be helpful. Saves a lot of beer money.
Gerry S.
The tool would jam so I can not pull handle . I have to unscrew tube to let lot off pressure. I had to have my wife to help bleed brakes the old way. Would not recommend this product. Better choices out there.
Rick V.
I've bought all 3 systems on Amazon the middle one only came with the gun no accessories I'm really disappointed
Wayne O.
Works well just remember to place the lid back on the master or fluid shoots all over.
Jasper R.
Works great.
Master cylinder cap leaks a little, other than that been good.
Used it on a F250 and a charger already.
John J O.
I haven't used it yet, but I'll save this e-mail and when I do I'll let you know!
Erik Albert D.
I was very disappointed opening the box and found a v- 5 brake bleeder and not the v-12 which I ordered and paid for. I have not yet used the device as I have no brake job waiting at present.

I have been a truck mechanic for 25 years. This should be simple but the plunger is stuck. I cannot press the trigger in or out. Finally got it to pump then it leaks out where the plunger rod goes into the tube. Brake fluid all over my pants. Good thing I didn't have it near my 63 Nova! The concept is good but the product socks. I would not recommend anyone to buy it. I wonder if someone's gonna contact me to make it right. rsrus5763@gmail.com

Only criticism is is in the instruction manual. I would suggest to use an assembly drawing of the hand pump, lines, fittings, reservoir, etc. Have the parts labeled to keep people from guessing which part is which. I can speak of this through similar criticism from customers in the field.
Lawrence L.
Well first I e mailed you all on/from your website with a problem that I have with this particular unit a while ago and never received a response. As I stated the unit arrived as described. I purchased it to bleed the brakes on my 69 chevelle frame off resto mod and a friend of mines 73 Camaro after a 4 wheel disc brake upgrade.
The problem is the handle is very hard to squeeze (I looked for some sort of a handle lock and never found one) even with the brake blended opened further than it should be. Well continued use of your product with this hard to squeeze handle had left me with a blown out “O” ring. I was wondering what you could all do for me. The only way of contacting you all is through e mail on the web site. Well we can’t come to a resolution if no one answers the e mail.
Plz e mail me at planefxr01@yahoo.com
Or call me @ 520.591.5132
Thanks L. M. Lane

This is truly a game changer!
Jason B.
Buy it , it works
David S.
I can’t get the tool to unlock so that I can actually put it to work. I figure maybe it’s an operator error type thing and I just need to sit down with the manual and work that out. But so far I’m not impressed with it.
Shawn O.
worked very well , was able to bleed my new breaks by myself, my jeep stopes so much better .
Douglas K.
Works as advertised. Considerably easier than vacuum bleeding by yourself.
Forrest G.
Thing didnt work at all! Worst instructions ive every seen! 194$ pile of junk!
James W.
Great tool, works great.
Craig K.
Hardly worked as advertised.
mark e.
returned item and never got money back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Eric O.
It was a great idea I liked what I saw from the video but I was confused on the instructions on how to use it with my particular vehicles so i returned them maybe in the future when instructions are available on my vehicle I’ll repurchase them
Lee B.
It was locked up and when it did squeeze boot popped off and fluid went everywhere so ass of now it's no good
Hunter G.
Made bleeding the brakes a breeze. Simple setup & use! Video to come soon!
Henry L.
Break fluid leaks out around the break cylinder bleeder valve when you pump your break bleeding system.
Clayton B.
Leaks around the bleed nipple when you use this system and just makes a big mess. Don't waste your money. After you use it and find out it doesn't work you can't return it so you're screwed, this is a big rip off.
Phi N.
Good concept and works decent but hoses leak that crazy. For the cost, this definitely shouldn’t be happening. This was the first use.
Troy K.
Excellent product! I am a one man shop and this tool is indispensable
Kurt H.
I bought and received the V-12 model. It came in a plastic case, well organized and with instructions. Unfortunately the list of parts and accessories in the included instruction manual did not match what I got. I called Phoenix and discussed the issue with someone who did not know and could not immediately find out what was supposed to be included in the kit. She later responded via email that I needed to go to their website and compare what's in their photos to what I got. I determined I was still missing one part, an O-ring, and I've now written requesting that part be sent to me. I am disappointed they could not provide correct documentation with the kit and the representative did not know what should be in the kit either. Because of the time I spent calling, discussing, photographing what I got (at the representative's insistence), and dealing with email, not enough time remained for me to bleed my brakes, so I'll have to try again another day. So my overall impression so far is disappointment and frustration, but I may update my review after using the V-12 unit.
Matthew I.
Are there bleed screws that don’t leak around the threads when you’re bleeding. I have to loosen the bleed screw a lot for the hand pump to work.
Marc M.
works good, but had to teflon tape the bleeder screws.
Albert M.
Instructions are not clear. Fittings leak at calipers. Not happy with my purchase and will likely go back to bleeding with two people.
Clay K.
Broke first time using it.
Sam B.
I can do the brakes by myself now!
Kurt H.
I have not used it yet; just received it a week or two ago. It could've built with bit better quality. Being able to choose a seal/vented drain cap for a particular vehicle as part of the kit would make it more useful.
David R.
It worked like a charm.
The kit is well made.
Mark W.
Works great! Does as stated in the advertisement. Received it quickly after ordering it.
Chester L.
Worked as advertised!
Bleed my newly installed brake system
Kenneth D.
Have not used it yet but from first sight it was kind of sad that for the price paid it was all plastic! But well see and hope the process of work out sees the cheap plastic construction for the price paid !
Mike H.
Doesn't work. Piece of shit.
Earl E.
After the first use bleeding a Ford Ranger clutch I regretted not spending the extra money on the more expensive Metal Handel version.
The process in squeezing the pump handle would hang up on injection and after injection would seldom return the pump piston backwards to refill the reservoir creating the need to use two hands in setting up for the next pump cycle.
It does work but expected it to allow only one hand to operate it and allow my other hand to hold the rubber coupler onto the bleed screw.
The desired capability for one hand pump use allows for opening and closing the bleed screw with your free hand that reduces leakage of fluid between pump cycles.
Purchase the metal handle design if intend to use it more than a few times each year.
Any chance on getting a credit of some type towards purchasing the metal handle hand pump design?
It does work, just not as expected.
Lamont B.
An awesome product! I was upgrading the stock pads and rotors on my 2012 Audi A5 Quattro to Powerstop cross-drilled and slotted rotors with carbon ceramic pads. I was also painting my calipers using a G2 Brake Caliper paint kit. The Phoenix Systems V-12diy one man brake / clutch bleeder
Julian S.
Work as advertised and is a one man operation
johnny h.
HAVENT USED IT YET >
James W.
It didn't work on the clutch, brakes or hydro.
Its handle stick every push, it will not stay on the brake bleeder nipple. I wouldn't recommend this product at all. After contacting them they want to charge for a repair kit. Stay away
Matthew O.
Makes bleeding brakes a snap.
glenn m.
Did not try it yet
Kody G.
Absolute junk doesn't work at all
David
New & Improved brake bleed system, remarkable.
Wayne K.
Haven’t used it yet, but, looks to be the next tool” I can’t live without”!!
David M.
This kit comes in a sturdy plastic case that keeps everything well organised, and has room for a few extra accessories. On the negative side, let's start with the instruction manual. Poorly printed, with grainy, B&W images. It went into great detail documenting what comes with optional equipment, but barely touched on the kit's own contents. Fortunately, there's lots of other sources for information (manufacturer's website, etc.)The fluid catch bottle's lid has two connection points, one of which wasn't molded properly, so it wouldn't allow a hose connection, but I was able to use the other. The pump unit itself was jammed right out of the box. After some fiddling, I was able to get it working. Phoenix offers help on their website for issues like this, and I had to refer back to it a few times. Things like these should've also been picked up by their quality control. Now, as for actually using it.... While operating the pump unit, the piston kept sticking during the return stroke. As previously mentioned, there are instructions on Phoenix' website to correct this issue, but after several attempts, it still didn't work. I was forced to manually pull the piston/handle back to restore full travel. Every time I had to do this, I could see fresh air bubbles in the sight glass, not what you want in your brake fluid. I had followed the purging instructions to the letter, but I was still seeing air every time I had to manually reset the piston. After several long, painful, frustrating hours, I decided to return this unit (Thanks Amazon, for your customer friendly return policy!). Too bad, I had high hopes for it.

A little different to use but seems to work well so far
Guilherme Mazzoni Eugenio
I see many reviews here saying the following things:-the pump comes stuck from factory. That's correct.- work is very messy. Yeah. Can be!-tool feels cheap on handle or quality. Well it feels good enough.- it creat more air than anything! Well. If you haven't discovered how to operate, it might. Now I'll get into details how to fix these issies before 'brake' it.As a professional mechanic I use this tool basically every day on multiple cars/brands and my own car. It's been about 4 months now. Never had an abs or related issue.Does it really manage to bleed the system in a way that makes the pedal fell very rigid and responsive? In most cases, yes. This tool resquires constant maintenance, right out of the box, due to its desing. For me, now days it works pretty much flawless, because I'm constantly maintaining. So right out of the box - Even before you try to do the first pumping. - do as follow:You have to lube the piston's o'ring(instruction can be found on they're website, if you need). Just remove the transparent barrel by rotanting. Lube the o'ring and the cilinder wall. I use and recomend silicone paste. It's neutral and doesn't react with the brake fluid. (do not use petroleum based stuff, as it might damaged the o'ring). To prime the pump:The manual says to prime the pump straight back to the return line into the same providade bottle. I don't recomend that. It leads to more air bubbles inside the fluid.Get the bottle full of fluid, place it on the floor in a way it won't tilt, get another reservour and put it sufficiently high so the whole pump stays vertical. Sometimes its quite hard to get rid of all bubbles inside the tube, cause they can stick to the side walls. Give it some finger taps to where they are as you pump it. Just re-fill the bottle as it gets to 1/4.Bleeding on the car:Here there is a catch, and they don't tell in the manual.1stp, you open the bleeder nipple. Let the fluid come out until you see no more bubbles coming out, only fluid.2stp - assuming you have already primed the pump- with the nipple open, you place your pump hose right under the lip of the nipple, as you squeeze the pump, you fit the hose on the nipple.3stpNow to pump, I highly recomend you to face the pump up side down. This will avoid any possibility of air injection, because the bubbles will be trapped inside the highest point of the piston chamber, away from the injection nozzle. As you stroke, try to be smoth and constant. Fluid agitation can creat bubbles. Be slow and smoth specially when you're about to release the trigger, a rapid retraction will cause air bubbles to be generated due to low pressure spot.4 stp. After you've done your few pumps, before closing it, remove the line and allow the bleeder to leak fluid out until you see no bubbles coming out (which you shall not see any).Maintainance:As you fell the trigger is getting heavy or stuck, remove barrel, lube o'ring and the white cloth ring with silicone paste, assemble back. If you're using the pre-filter, also use compressed air to clean the filter. These steps will guarantee your tool to keep working as inteded. If you don't wamt this kind of obligation, then I would not recomend for you.Hope this helps everyone.
Corey Whitelock
Like this works very well
Stephen
Very easy to use and can do the job by yourself.
